Introduction With the rising of the crime rate on everybody's mind, we have taken it on ourselves to do something about the situation in our area. We are aiming to install CCTV Cameras at all access routes to our area and in Zambesi at all intersections that will be monitored at our control room in Zambesi. Any misconduct will then be communicated to the necessary authorities live.
How it works PTZ (pan tilt and zoom) Cameras will be installed in strategic places in our area, this information will then be relayed to our control room in Zambesi, where it will be monitored and recorded. Strategic positions indicated by the red dots. These dots will cover all entrance and exit routes. This will be phase 1 to be completed 2010.
Funding The finance required to undertake such a project amounts to hundreds of thousands. We will be relying on donations as well as sponsorships from shopping centers and companies. We are in the process of constructing advertising boards at all 5 main entrances of the area. Companies will gain access to these boards though their sponsorship.
